What if one scholarship could keep a child in school, spark a family business, and lift an entire village? Rooted Wisdom Africa makes this real in rural Uganda, where they’ve supported over 900 students, launched 3,000+ small businesses, and reached 42,000 people with tools for self-reliance.

Building Strong Roots for Lasting Change

Rooted Wisdom Africa partners with communities to create programs that grow local leaders. They focus on rural south-central Uganda, working side-by-side with locals to remove barriers and build skills that last a lifetime.

Their key efforts include:

• Education Support: Scholarships, school lunches, and life skills training. Sponsored kids attend 78 more school days on average, boosting attendance and success.​
• Farmer Field Schools: 13-month courses on sustainable farming, better soil, and smart techniques to grow more food and earn steady income.​
• Women’s Enterprise Program: Training in business basics, job skills, mentorship, and startup help so women gain independence and support their families.​
• Community Groups: Local associations where trained people teach others, spreading skills like wildfire for ongoing progress.

Unlike quick fixes, Rooted Wisdom trains locals to lead, and many staff are program graduates. They aim to “work themselves out of a job” by creating financial freedom and strong leaders who keep the momentum going.
