For using their service, most gateways do not have a subscription plan or a one-time fee. Instead, they charge fees on every transaction. Most payment gateways charge 1% to 3% of the transaction amount or a combination of a percentage and a set amount such as 2.9% + 0.50 cents on every transaction.
